Quality Analyst RN - Regulatory Compliance
Full-Time Days
POSITION SUMMARY: Primary focus is Regulatory Compliance and Process Improvement. Is responsible for driving organizational change by developing, facilitating and executing organizational improvement projects and initiatives. Is accountable for ensuring that the projects meet the identified internal and external standards; and is instrumental in promoting culture change by sharing best practice and effectively teaching, mentoring, and coaching other team members in various improvement methodologies. Leads initiatives to support facility, division and corporate performance Indicators, and other facility-wide performance improvement activities (e.g., ongoing readiness, standardization of processes to reduce variation, etc.), through Performance Improvement Committees, Physician and Nursing-based committees, as well as numerous other multi-disciplinary project teams. Is a strategic thinker with strong analytical and business skills required to manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously. Leads process redesign, organization improvement, change management activities, and conducts training/mentoring of others related to the development of an improvement/project management skill set. Facilitates goal driven teams engaging them in activities that align with the strategic plan to change behavior and produce sustainable results. In advancing these goals, the incumbent uses specialized knowledge and skills related to goal development and attainment and communication for accelerated change and working out waste to improve quality patient outcomes.

Medical City Plano is a full-service, 603-bed acute-care facility with more than 2,070 employees and over 1,466 physicians on staff, representing over 70 specialties and sub-specialties. Our main campus in the heart of Plano includes the main hospital and medical offices, an outpatient surgery center, a comprehensive cancer-treatment center, an emergency and Level 1 trauma center, a radiology/imaging center, a comprehensive cardiovascular program, the Center for Lifestyle Enhancement, The Bariatric Institute, Wound Care Center and complete women's and children's services including a high-risk antepartum unit and a Level 3 neonatal intensive-care unit. We will open a new 4-story tower in the fall of 2019, adding 90 patient beds including additional operating and recovery rooms and expanding our Medical Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedics and Critical Care Services.

Qualifications
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred
- License as a Registered Nurse in TX
- CPHQ preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare
- Knowledge of AMP Tracer Tools
- Robust knowledge of TJC, DNV, CMS standards
- Experience with medical record review; excellent computer skills required (Microsoft Office - Advanced Excel skills)
- Ability to collaborate with nursing/physician colleagues
