ABOUT THE JOB:

The Accreditation Program Manager manages Children's survey readiness leading to surveys and coordination of activities during regulatory agency visits for the purpose of enhancing the triennial review process for all organization-wide and department-level surveys, inspections, and agency investigations. The Accreditation Program Manager interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. This role may lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. The Accreditation Program Manager works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations, impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project and/or service objectives. This role communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view.

This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities:

* Facilitates the development and implementation of newly adopted clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures through active collaboration with the originating departments which includes Children's Executives, Directors, and Managers; facilitates the revision of current policies by providing direction in meeting and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
* Primary contact person for regulatory compliance throughout the Children's organization and provides direction to designated department leaders; monitors compliance with regulatory requirements at all levels of implementation
* Attends and drives discussion and participation in clinical and non-clinical committee meetings, which include various Children's Directors and Managers, to provide direction in meeting and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
* Maintenance and support of the centralized VSurvey audit and tracer database which provides tools to assist with consistent assessment of organizational and departmental compliance with regulatory requirements
* Ensures timely and appropriate communication of all new and updated regulatory requirements utilizing accreditation specialists in the department to provide guidance to the organization and clinical and non-clinical departments; responsible for increasing the efficiency and timeliness of accreditation staff in meeting the needs of the organization by developing standardized documents for presentation of research and increasing the expertise and knowledge of specialists in all areas of regulatory compliance

WORK EXPERIENCE

* At least 3 years previous work-related experience in compliance, quality management, or accreditation/regulatory readiness Preferred

EDUCATION

* Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience Required
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

* Certification in healthcare accreditation, compliance, quality, or risk management Preferred
