To help keep our campus as safe as possible during the pandemic, IU South Bend is conducting ongoing COVID-19 testing of students, faculty, and staff weekly. Mitigation testing is essential to IU's ability to identify and isolate asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 before the virus is spread to others.
This role will serve as the lead for mitigation testing at IU South Bend. This role may be asked to assist with COVID-19 vaccination efforts as well. This is a part-time position for 15-20 hours per week. It is expected that this position will last 6-12 months.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees staff and operations of the IU South Bend mitigation testing center.
- Scheduling of mitigation testing center staff.
- Inventory and ordering of mitigation testing center supplies.
- Managing shipment of tests.
- Provide regular updates of mitigation testing operations to IU South Bend COVID Response Leads.
- Market voluntary testing opportunities and mitigation testing center hours of operation.
- Attend weekly IU mitigation testing meetings.
- Facilitate mitigation testing compliance through weekly reports to Athletics, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Human Resources leadership.
- Respond to questions about mitigation testing process from campus community.
- Accountable for understanding and implementing established policies and procedures.
Excellent communication skills. High commitment to quality and customer service. Ability to adapt to a changing environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, have strong problem-solving skills, and conduct themselves in a professional and confidential manner.
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
