*Job Description**This position includes a $1,500 retention bonus for external new hires. You will receive a portion after 3 months of employment and the remainder after 12 months of employment.* Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, The Pharmacy Compound Technician II performs all of the duties as Pharmacy CompoundTechnician I, including preparation and packaging of medication and supplies for shipment to patients, performing record keeping functions, and assisting in various inventory control processes. Additionally, the Pharmacy Compound Technician II is responsible for higher level responsibilities including training and workflow/inventory management*Required Qualifications*Essential Qualifications:Minimum of 6 months of internal experience in good standingActive state Pharmacy Technician license requiredDemonstrated written and verbal communication skillsCertification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification.Adherence to:- Regular Predicable AttendanceKnowledge of:- Medical Terminology utilized in a pharmacy- Drug names and pharmacology knowledge- Understanding of Pharmacy law- USP 797 Sterile Compounding Rules/Regulations- USP 800 Hazardous Compounding Rules/Regulations (if applicable)Skills In:- Demonstrated Verbal and written communication- Basic Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)- Basic Math Skills- Drug Compounding for all applicable patient therapiesAbility To:- Multi-task in a fast-paced environment- Work Independently and within the clinical team to fill and ship accurate and timely ordersPhysical Demands:The physical demands listed below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
