This role will aid with and facilitate the human resources processes. Along with other HR duties, the position will specialize with COVID-19 response and be responsible for ensuring all COVID-19 policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to in headquarters location and out in the field as necessary. This role will perform all duties and responsibilities related to COVID-19.

Essential Job Functions
Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Assists with all Human Resources administration and processes.
Enforce and ensure policies and protocols related to the health and safety of all employees.
Follow and fully execute internal COVID-19 contact tracing guidelines.
Maintain and keep the company’s internal COVID-19 cases log up to date.
Responsible to keep track and maintain the Emergency Paid Sick Leave (EPSL) Log.
Monitor quarantined staff and effectively communicate a safe return to work.
Review COVID-19 test results to determine appropriate action and ensure procedures are followed.
Stay current on new developments with any Cal/OSHA and/or Local/State/Federal guidelines (e.g., Travel quarantine orders by state, Social Distancing order) as it pertains to COVID-19.
Comply with any Cal/OSHA and/or Local/State/Federal guidelines as it pertains to COVID-19.
Report COVID-19 positive (non-work related) cases to the WC Broker.
Report COVID-19 positive cased (work related) cases to the WC Carrier.
Maintain accuracy and confidentiality with all COVID-19 records.
Send out appropriate notice(s) to parties involved when COVID-19 positive is identified.
Serve as a resource to management for questions or concerns regarding COVID-19.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Participate in projects as assigned by the Human Resources Department.
Update and implement the company's Written COVID-19 Prevention Plan (WCPP) for the headquarters.
Provide and keep track on COVID-19 training to all HQ employees and any HQ new hires.
Work closely with the local Public Health Department(s) regarding COVID-19 reporting if needed.
Compile and maintain employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions using human resources management system software.
Handle employee information with confidentiality.
Assist in the hiring process through the coordination of job posts, review of resumes, performance of reference checks, background checks, conduction of new hire orientation, and the successful completion and processing of all new hire paperwork and onboarding.
Communicate all policies and procedures to all current and prospective employees.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
At least two years of HR related experience required
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress
Must be detail oriented
Strong organization skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinking and sound judgement required
Able to work independently and with a team
Able to work in the office
Bilingual (Spanish)

Education, Licenses, and Certifications
High School or GED;
Work experience in HR or benefits is required.
Minimum 3 years of industry experience with specific experience in group benefits administration
Minimum 3 years of experience working in benefits and corporate wellness programs
