Summary:

Performs maintenance, repair, installation and calibration of Precision Inspection, Testing & Measurement Equipment at customer sites in accordance to ISO/IEC 17025.

Various levels / roles available depending on training and experience.

General Duties:

• Install/ Calibrate / Repair equipment at customer sites.
• Communicate with Inside Service Team for daily, weekly and monthly job assignments.
• Generate all documentation required for service calls.
• Maintain professional rapport with customers.
• Become proficient in ATRAX Gage Management Software (including Navigating, Upload, Download, and Mobile).
• Follow all company’s procedures and protocols
• Share information across the organization.
• Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.

Level I Specific
Service Technician will be capable of operating with minimal supervision and be capable of calibration, service, and basic repairs of all equipment for the following:

• Hand Gages
  • Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, Bore Gages, Height Gages, Magna Mikes, etc.
• Surface Plates
  • Measurement and Corrective Lapping
• Rockwell Hardness Testers
  • Standard B/C, Superficial N/T, Direct and Indirect Methods

  • Brinell, Brinell Scope, Brinell Scanner, Direct / Indirect Methods
• Leebs Hardness Testers
• Optical Equipment
  • Optical Comparator, Measuring Microscope, Microscope Cleaning
• Video / Vision Equipment
  • Manual / Automated
• Field of View Measuring Systems
• Laser Micrometers
• Scales / Balances
  • Lab Balances, Bench Scales, Counting Scales, Floor Scales
• Pressure
  • Pressure Gage, Pressure Transducer, In Line Pressure Gage/Transducer

Level II Specific

4 – 6 years’ experience performing compatible duties as that of a Level I Service Technician, is capable of providing training to new Technicians and is capable of calibration, service, and complex repairs of all equipment with minimal assistance for the following:

  • Tachometers, Stroboscopes, (Contact & Non-Contact)

  • Sound Meters
• Electronics
  • Hi-Pot, Power Supplies, Panel Meters
• Force ≥ 1,000 lbs.
  • Test Stands, Force Gage, Load Cell, Spring Tester, Top Load Testers (Force, Displacement, & Speed)

Level III Specific
Service Technician will have 6+ years’ experience performing compatible duties as that of a Level I & II Service Technician, is capable of providing training to new Technicians, provide Technical Support to other Technician, act as a Lead for On-Site jobs when working with other Technicians and is capable of calibration, service, and complex repairs of all equipment with no assistance for the following:

  • DMM’s, Clamp Meters, Oscilloscopes, Counters

Qualifications:

• Technical Degree, Certificate and/or 3+ years of experience in a related field with a proven track record of successful, on-time completion of projects.
• Must have an electrical and mechanical aptitude and some type of semi-related experience (Field Work, Repair, Electronics, etc.).
