We are looking for customer service focused individuals that want to help with the fight against Covid-19. To help support the vaccination effort in Las Vegas, we are adding team members to assist our members through the vaccine process. If you have experience in customer service, healthcare, retail, hospitality and/or the service industry this is a great opportunity.

This position is Sunday through Saturday; hours TBD

This role is a six-month project with the potential to be extended if needed. Team members will have the option to apply to other roles at the conclusion of the project

Primary Responsibilities:

The Vaccine Clinic Support staff is a detailed-oriented and highly organized individual with excellent communication and time management skills to help set up the vaccination site and manage safe patient flow. Responsibilities include:

  • Administration: Assist with the collection of data for county, state and federal reporting requirements. Assist with completion of daily reports. Work with IT on the report data and troubleshoot system issues. Provide reminder for next appointment and follow-up with vaccine recipients as needed.
  • Check in/Registration: Welcome patients, verify eligibility and appointment time, ask screening questions. Review consent form for completeness, provide education and answer routine questions on vaccination and side effects. Provide declination form if requested. Direct patient to next station.
  • Greeter: Welcomes patients, ensures they are in the correct place and that only participants enter the vaccination area, verifying correct appointment day and time. Provide vaccine information sheets with benefits and risks responding to basic questions. Inform patient to wear face coverings. Escalates other problems to the Site Coordinator or Vaccination Nurse.
  • Line Control/Runner: Maintain line control and ensures 6-foot distancing. Retrieves supplies for vaccine site and keeps stations supplied. Makes line control adjustments and move things around if needed. Alerts security/Nurse/onsite coordinator of urgent needs or unexpected situations.
  • Post Vaccine Station: Direct and observe patients after vaccination in observation area, answering routine basic questions. Provide next appointment reminders, follow up information and vaccination status documentation to patient. Provide information for the V Safe, personal health check-in phone application and encourage patients to download and provide follow-up information on health after vaccination and side effects.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule days, weekends, and evenings.
  • High-level customer service experience
  • Timely arrival and ability to stay consistently to schedule
  • Outstanding ability to work as part of a team and take direction
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge to maintain safe distance at all times (at least 6 feet) while wearing an isolation mask and any other PPE that may be advised.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work and complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Willingness to work with a highly diverse group of students and staff
  • You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience and / or training as a Medical Assistant
  • 1+ year of experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or Practice
  • EMT or Military medic experience
  • Management Software systems
  • Experience in a healthcare/ clinical setting
  • Bilingual in Spanish
