Lane County is hiring for multiple Extra Help positions for  
The COVID Response Team 
Hourly Wage: $21.00
Bilingual Hourly Wage: $22.50

About the position
These positions will be working in the COVID-19 Response Unit within Lane County Public Health. This section has been created in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and multiple roles are being filled to provide ongoing support to the response. Roles and duties may shift due to the need to have a flexible and adaptable response.

Data Analyst
* Analyze, clean, and model data with the goal of discovering useful information, support decision-making, and identify errors
* Reviewing data for deficiencies, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output
* Prepare a variety of analytical reports on operations and activities.
* Accurately input data into State Database

COVID Information Call Center
* Perform a wide variety of typing, data entry, office support, general clerical and public contact work
* Provide excellent quality customer service to our community members as part of our centralized customer service call center
* Upon training, answer a wide range of questions, comments, and concerns from community members in regards to cases, immunizations, rental assistance, guidelines and updates
* Schedule vaccination appointments    

Quarantine & Isolation Support
• Contact individuals referred to the Quarantine and Isolation Support Team
• Coordinate quarantine options for unhoused population
• Support team, assist with resource navigation such as applying for unemployment, rent or utility assistance and accessing immediate resources needs (food, pharmacy)

Testing & Vaccine
* Complete registration form with community members being tested
* Complete labels for vials during the test and complete appropriate paperwork
* Quality Assurance - confirming correct records of vials are provided
* Provide assistance to community members in Spanish such a completing paperwork and answering questions Vaccine Field Team
* Participate in vaccine clinics by providing materials and supplies  
* Provide administrative support during vaccination clinics
* Enter Vaccine Administration Records on site or in the office
* Provide assistance to community members in Spanish such a completing paperwork and answering questions

About the Division
Lane County Health and Human Services Public Health ensures protections critical to the health of all people in Lane County through surveillance, regulation, and response to infectious disease and injury risks. In collaboration with community organizations and partner agencies, Public Health promotes optimal health through policies, interventions, and population-health programs based on scientific evidence and emerging best practices, with a particular focus on ensuring all people in Lane County have opportunity and access to environments and systems that support their health.  

Schedule: Hours vary - Minimum work availability of 3 days, 8 hours a day. Some Weekend availability is preferred.  

* Extra Help employees may work up to a maximum of 520 hours per fiscal years, between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022

Training & Experience:
• Bilingual Skills preferred
• Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and work ethic;
• Excellent interpersonal skills required and ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress;
• Ability to show empathy to distressed individuals;
• Excellent organizational and communication skills;
• Critical thinking and sound judgment required;
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism and in compliance with federal HIPPA requirements;
• Clear, legible handwriting;
• Proficiency with computers;
• Previous case management experience a plus

Special Requirements:
Offers of employment are contingent upon consenting to and successfully passing a drug screening test; negative results are reimbursable.  
 
Please note that as part of the screening process Lane County will verify license and certification status.

One of the essential functions of this position is to travel within Lane County (occasionally outside of Lane County) to completed scheduled meetings.
